LokJan Today: The fear of a corona infection between the Chardham Yatra and therefore the onset of the Mansarovar Yatra has raised the priority and challenge of the health department. On Wednesday, the state’s Director-General of Health, Dr. Amita Upreti held a video conferencing with the CMOs of all the districts to understand the steps taken to affect the corona.
In it, the fear of corona infection was evident between the journeys. The Director-General of Health gave instructions to officers to stay this aspect in mind within the preparations for the visit. He said that because the yatra season starts, the movement of individuals will start increasing. Thousands of devotees visit the Chardham Yatra per annum.
Not only this, but an outsized number of individuals also attend the Mansarovar Yatra. In such a situation, there’s a requirement to be very vigilant. He instructed the officials to organize an action plan for the required preparations and rescue from any quite sankrasamana in sight of Chardham Yatra ranging from April in Garhwal division and Mansarovar Yatra in Kumaon division.
Geological Congress postponed thanks to fear of Corona
Coronaviruses have now started affecting scientific events also. The 36th Inter-Geological Congress was to be held in Delhi on March 8, but thanks to the coronavirus, the Congress has been postponed. Six scientists from Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Horticulture and Forestry University Bharsar were also to participate in it.
