LokJan Today(Dehradun ): After receiving coronavirus infected patients in many cities of the country, health department has also been alerted in Uttarakhand. In the capital’s Doon Hospital, two isolation wards with 16 and 13 beds have been opened so that patients with corona can get immediate treatment. Apart from this, necessary medicines, masks and PPE kits have been arranged.
At the same time, there was a stir after the news of coronation symptoms in the young woman who reached Dehradun from Saudi Arabia. On this, the top officials of the Health Department said that they have no information in this regard nor has any such patient been admitted anywhere. Still the Health Department is showing the case.
Principal Dr. Ashutosh Sayana reviewed the arrangements on Wednesday in view of Coronavirus at Doon Medical College Hospital. It was told that the hospital is alert on seeing Corona. Medicines, masks and separate wards have been provided.
Doon Hospital’s Medical Superintendent Dr. KK Tamta said that doctors have been instructed to keep a close watch on the patients coming for treatment. If there is a possibility of becoming infected with a coronavirus in any patient, then information should be provided immediately.
CMO took meeting of officials
In view of Coronavirus, CMO Dr. Meenakshi Joshi reviewed the preparations after meeting with the officials. Dr. Joshi has instructed for proper arrangement of treatment in all CHCs, PHCs. Apart from providing adequate quantity of medicines in hospitals, he also stressed on making people coming to hospitals. The CMO said that people need not fear the corona too much. There is adequate treatment.
The team investigating passengers at the airport
CMO Dr. Meenakshi Joshi told that Doctors should be deployed at Jolly Grant Airport for the help of Corona not knocking air travelers coming from abroad. This team is checking every passenger at the airport. After investigation, passengers are being allowed to come out of the airport.
Samples of all seven suspects are negative in the investigation
According to CMO Dr. Joshi, the department team sent samples of seven suspects to AIIMS for pathology investigation. All samples in the investigation have been found to be negative. However, medical superintendents of all government hospitals and operators of private hospitals have been instructed to provide information about corona symptoms in any patient immediately, along with a sample and undergo a pathology test.
Do not shake hands
The fear of coronavirus was revealed on Monday when an official in a government office refused to shake hands with a person who had come to meet him. He said that now the time has come to speak Ram and leave the old tradition with no hands. When asked the reason, the officer cited the risk of spreading coronavirus behind this vigil.
