Temperature crosses 40 degrees Celsius, likely to be light rain in some places in the state in 24 hours.

Lokjan Today Desk, Dehradun: The mercury is again crossing 40 degrees Celsius. Throughout the day, people are bewildered with heavy storms and hot winds. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in some places in the state in the next twenty four hours.

The weather had started making new records from April this year, so in the month of April there was no sight of heat and suddenly the weather change started making new records. Temperatures continued to rise in May but there was some shortfall in temperature in the last two days but on Monday again the maximum temperature was recorded at 40 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was 17.5 degree Celsius. In the last nine years, so much temperature was never recorded on May 6.

State Meteorological Center director Vikram Singh said that the sky will be mainly clear in the next 24 hours but there will be some partly cloudy clouds somewhere. There is a possibility of light rains very light somewhere in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithaurgarh districts. The weather in the rest of the state will remain dry.
