Congress candle march in protest against violence with students in JNU

The youth will not tolerate any attempt to suppress the voice of violence
: Pritam Singh Dehradun: On Sunday, January 5, in the country’s capital, Delhi, chaotic elements entered the campus at Jawaharlal Nehru University and carried out life-threatening attacks on students with batons and hammers. State Congress president today in protest against the incident of going and watching the spectacle by becoming a silent spectator of Delhi Police in the whole episode Q Mr. Pritam Singh’s leadership in Congress removed a candle march from the headquarters. All party MLAs and party officials attended the candle march.

 

Addressing partymen at the party headquarters, State Congress President Mr. Pritam Singh said that BJP and RSS and all its allied organizations are making a phased plot to end democracy in the country. He said that there is respect for disagreement and dissent in democracy, but the RSS and BJP want that only their ideology survives in the country and there is no scope for any other ideology. He said that with the help of violence, the BJP government wants to suppress the voice of the youth and students of the country but the Congress will not tolerate oppression at all. He said that the Congress will respond to repression through Gandhi’s path of non-violence. Describing JNU incident as an open endorsement of the central government shamelessly calling fascistism within the country, he said that the Prime Minister tweeting at small incidents, two words of condemnation from him on such an incident in the most important university

Leader of Opposition Dr. Indira Hridayesh said that the Central Government is adopting various tactics to divert public attention from unemployment, inflation, staggering economy in the country and the case of JNU is also part of it.
