Country’s first helicopter summit in Uttarakhand.

Helicopter summit was organized at Sahastradhara helipad of capital Dehradun to expand heli services in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the country’s first helicopter conference in Dehradun. Many heli service companies from across the country participated in it.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation was organized under the joint aegis of Government of India, Government of Uttarakhand and FICCI. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat announced to organize a conference every year in Uttarakhand. There was a churn in Uttarakhand about the expansion of heli services. The possibilities of expansion of heli services in the state were put in front of the heli companies and scope of heli services was also discussed in Chardham Yatra. Uttarakhand has emerged as an industrial state in the last 18 years and the state has immense investment potential. Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat said that the number of tourists in the state is continuously increasing. Every year 2 lakh people use heli services in the state. In this sense, there is immense potential for heli services. CM said that the state has 51 helipads, 2 airports, 1 airstrip, and 1 seaplane site. CM said that we are committed to protecting pilots in the state. We lost 2 promising pilots in the accident in Arakot. CM said that if any company comes for heli services in Pithoragarh, then the state government will give subsidy on its behalf in addition to the center. CM Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the helicopter facilities are very important according to the geographical conditions of Uttarakhand. It takes a lot of time to reach the remote areas of the state by road. Air service is very important to reach the frontier areas of the state in a short time and there is immense tourism potential in the state.
